Down with TEFL!!!
- Incorrect: Wrong word. In this case, you should use 'Done' not 'down' unless you want all teaching of English as a foreign language to end!
This is an example of the kind of questions we had to answer on our TEFL exam this Friday. Find the error, correct the error, and explain the rule.
So much language and teaching information and experience was crammed into this one-month course. I hope it won't just leave my short-term memory as quickly as (or more quickly than) it was shoved in!
My main purpose in writing this entry is to do a trackback (though I'm not sure how) to a new friend's blog: If you click here, you'll find a good description of my flat-mates from this month, a great set, and I was greatful to have them around! Of course, the only one not described is Misty herself, author of the blog and entry I'm citing -- so you should just read her blog! :)
The TEFL month was challenging, but really helpful. I'm in Estonia today, writing (for free! yippee!) from the computer that belongs to the B&B where I'm staying. Helpful nice young Australian couple here as well, and a student from Spain. The couple who owns the house are very accomodating (pun intended). And anyone who can tell me the rule for the order of adjectives modifying 'couple' in the sentence before last wins a prize!!! Can't tell you what it is right now, but it will be big!
Gotta go. Thanks for reading.
