Freedom for all?

This article on Christianity Today regarding Bush's 'Theological Perspective' caught my eye. You might want to check it out!   It addresses something he said about believing that freedom really is something all people want and deserve.

I found it compelling in some ways--idealism always touches me a bit.  In other ways, especially since I live in Ukraine most of the time--I think: wow, no, a lot of people really put freedom low on their list of what they want and feel they need.

And the guy writing the article makes some good remarks as well - and is quite fair, I think.  So, if you're interested, check it out!

Puddlin'...

Decided it was high time I have a blog entry that can get the category label 'weather.' Why not?  This morning we woke up to sizzling lightning and crashing thunder.  I was forewarned a bit ahead of time by our little white dog, Trouble, who came into my bedroom whimpering and shaking as though the world were about to end.   The morning storm wasn't the end either - it was followed by an afternoon storm, and now, an evening storm (which was supposed to bring us a tornado from Ohio, but I guess it simmered down).  And as you can see, we still have electricity! :)
